All artwork and designs are copyright of The Handcrafted Card Company Ltd (THCC). Designs and images cannot be reproduced or transmitted in any form without prior written permission.
The client is responsible for obtaining permission for printed reproduction of any images, photographs and text including hymns or songs. The client indemnifies THCC against any action brought against it for breach of a third parties copyright.
Any information given during the course of enquiring and ordering we may use to assist our administration and for future marketing initiatives.
THCC will not share any information the client supplies with a third party. All data is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Wedding Stationery Samples
Our wedding stationery samples prices are design dependent and are displayed on the samples ordering page. Having ordered a sample/s, should the client subsequently order, the cost of one sample will be deducted from the final invoice.
Wedding Stationery Quotes
Prices quoted will be from the current price list. Our service includes one free quote and up to two quote adjustments. Additional quotes are charged at £25 per quote. The first of which will be credited towards your order. All quotes are valid for 30 days and are subject to our approval of the clients information.
Our service includes a one hour consultation at our premises. All consultations and visits are by appointment only.
Text and Wording
Text should be typed clearly and emailed to THCC. Please type in upper and lower case as required, regardless of your chosen typeface. Text not provided in this format will incur an administrative fee and may result in delays. THCC is not responsible for any errors or omissions, spelling or otherwise in the text supplied by the client.
THCC will advise on text and wording for invitations where necessary.
Wedding Stationery Proofs
THCC will provide the client with up to three rounds of proofs for approval before production. Proofs are emailed to the client as PDF files. It is the responsibility of the client to check proofs for printing. Amendments should be detailed clearly by email with reference to the proof by the file name. Upon proof approval THCC will produce a hard copy proof which must be signed and returned before production can begin. Any alterations beyond final email approval will incur further charges based upon the time taken and costs incurred by THCC.
The proofing process follows the same format for wedding invitations (see above) except a hard copy proof is not provided.
Please note THCC is not responsible for any errors or omissions not found by the client at the proofing stage.
Deposit and Payment
Orders cannot commence without a completed order form and a 50% deposit (of the full stationery suite required) or the full amount for the invitation package (whichever is greater). Final payment is due on completion and is due before dispatch, any money outstanding after 7 days of completion will incur interest at a rate of 8% per annum. All prices include VAT at the current rate.
Payment of the deposit is understood to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Production and Deadlines
Stationery is made to order and lead times vary. The client will be advised of current lead times at the time of ordering. Express orders are accepted at our discretion and will incur a £75 fee or 10% of the order value whichever is greater. All times are approximate and subject to change.
Orders cancelled after the hard copy proof has been dispatched will be charged at 50% of the order value. Orders cancelled after the hard copy proof has been approved and returned will be charged in full and the balance is due immediately.
Since all work carried out is bespoke, personalised and handmade to order THCC does not refund or replace unwanted goods. Please see the cancellation policy above. In the unlikely event of faulty goods THCC should be notified immediately, no later than 3 working days from receipt of your stationery and the stationery should be returned to THCC in the original packaging.
Upon inspection if the stationery is deemed to be faulty on the part of THCC the stationery will be corrected or replaced with the same. In the event that this is not possible THCC reserves the right to offer an alternative or similar replacement.
In the unlikely event that THCC cannot correct or replace the stationery THCC will offer a refund for the faulty goods only if part of the order is faulty or a full refund if the whole order is faulty. Should the client choose to keep the faulty goods THCC will refund 10% of the costs.
If upon inspection the stationery is deemed to be incorrect due to errors or omissions that were not spotted by the client during the proofing process THCC is not liable (see 'Proofs' above), replacement stationery would be at our discretion and charges would be based upon the time taken and costs incurred by THCC.
THCC is not liable for the cost of additional work carried out (eg calligraphy) on faulty stationery.
Delivery is by overnight courier and deliveries will need to be signed for upon receipt. Delivery costs are paid for by the client. Whilst every care is taken to pack the order THCC cannot be held liable for late delivery and loss or damage in transit. Responsibility for damage to or loss of goods shall pass to the customer at the time of accepting delivery.
We reserve the right to use any stationery we create to promote our products and services.
THCC will endeavour to supply the client as agreed but cannot be held liable for situations beyond it's control, for example, discontinued materials and postal disputes, Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of THCC.
The client should be aware that our products and packaging are not suitable for children.
As all stationery items are handmade the client accepts there will be slight variations between items. As THCC stationery is made to order minor variations in colour, texture, size and positioning can occur and do not constitute a fault. THCC cannot be held responsible for the natural aging of products nor be held responsible for how our products are handled by the postal system.
Laser Cut stationery is delicate and burning, fraying or small areas torn or removed are part of the process and do not constitute a fault.
Charges and Fees
If further artwork is required or additional proofs, consultations, illustrations or maps are necessary or requested then THCC will initially advise the client on applicable fees which are at the following rates: Additional Artwork, Consultations, Map Work of £70 per hour. Administration and Proofing fee £47 per hour. 'Out Of Hours' work, £140 per hour.
